Louise Hauptmann
Associate
After obtaining her Master’s degree from the University of Lausanne in 2017, Louise Hauptmann went on to pursue a PhD. Her thesis, entitled ‘The parent-child relationship in the face of deprivation of liberty. Implementation of the right to respect for family life in the international, federal and Vaud legal systems’, was awarded the distinction Summa Cum Laude in 2024, as well as the Edouard Fleuret Foundation Prize and the Professor Walther Hug Prize.
Whilst working as a postgraduate research assistant at UNIL, she served as a legal adviser to the appeals committee of UNIL’s School of Criminal Sciences for two years. She then completed her legal training at a law firm in Lausanne and was admitted to the bar in the summer of 2026, before joining Kasser Schlosser Avocats SA as an associate.
Louise Hauptmann is fluent in French, English and German.
